• Reading, writing, and math are fundamental and integrative skills to unlock and enhance the natural process of figuring out.
• Focused at this time on grades KG through G7.
• Wednesdays and Fridays (4 pm to 6 pm)
• Children that are enrolled in our program will have the ability to have one hour or two hour of tuition either between the time slots of 4 to 5 pm and/or 5 to 6 pm.

• KG classes will have a copy of the 100 important words list and if possible, we will teach them phonics.
• There is no parent participation needed when the child comes in. We would assign the child homework that they would have to do at home based on what the tutor will assign them. We encourage parents to go over the child’s homework with the child, each following day from the class.

Problem-solving and critical thinking is the ability to use knowledge, facts, and data to analyze and find the solution that best resolves the problem. Even young children use these skills in their everyday life, but non-routine problems may require more innovative approaches. While an elaborate segment will be developed and used in the education program offered at the school, a few basic points can be touched upon to develop the skills to inspire students to be:

• • curious and questioning.
  • able to challenge and analyze information.
  • study stories that require thinking and analysis.
  • actively volunteer to solve problems in team activities.
  • seek advice from others.

Students will learn to think through issues, discover solutions, and make decisions efficiently.

In our view, leadership itself is the most important life skill and could be learned through education. Leadership is personal. It is about who we are, how we show up, the actions and behaviors we choose, the way we treat other people, the decisions we make, and how we manage our emotional and mental states.

It truly begins with self, so the students must learn and practice leading themselves before try leading others. In the backdrop of our education program, we will strive to teach the students to:

• • Create a vision for themselves, that cultivate the desire to have deep self-knowledge to know what is right for them.
  • Then learn to develop an actionable plan, which is flexible yet effective.
  • And finally create the environment, both inside and outside, to make the plan achievable.

Given the young age of our students, we will be introducing it through games to follow each step of effective development, such as:

• • Making a personal choice to learn the skill of leadership, to actively engage.
  • Learning to identify or establish what good looks like.
  • Practice it in a safe environment and must get useful feedback.
  • Then, they must learn to make a commitment to continued growth.

The ultimate message to takeaway is that leadership is a life-long commitment, not a “one-off” instance.

Frequent parent-teacher meetings and individual time with counselors/facilitators will be offered to the parents to enable them to get closely involved with the education and multi-dimensional growth process of the students.

• • A Complimentary Parenting education (a multi-semester curriculum-based program) for voluntarily interested young parents will be offered in after school hours.
  • A weekly parents’ circle in the Punjabi Language, will be held in collaboration with the Parents Support Society of BC, to address any ongoing and/or newly occurring parenting issues through trained facilitators.

Extra-Curricular programs

  • Art: drawing, painting Club.
  • Drama Club.
  • Homework Club, are a few currently under consideration.
